Jazz Commission Application Form 2027 -

Jazz Festival Commission Application

Cheltenham Jazz Festival's Parabola Arts Centre (PAC) programme has built a bold reputation for its fearless, adventurous programming, offering artists a space to be completely unbound in their creative vision. To celebrate the creation of new and adventurous music, we created the Tony Dudley Evans Commission. The commission is in recognition of both Tony's and Cheltenham’s commitment to supporting music creators who are bold in their vision. So far, the commission has enabled four major UK artists, Laura Jurd, Piera Onacko working with Cassie Kinoshi and Nathan England-Jones, Olivia Murphy and Yazz Ahmed, to create important new work premiered as part of the Festival’s PAC programme.

We are now looking for the next artist to commission to continue this musical legacy. The commission will be premiered as part of the programme in the Parabola Arts Centre.

What We Are Looking For

We want to commission a musician working in the broad space of Jazz to produce a new piece of music that will be performed in our 2027 PAC Festival Programme. We are looking for bold ideas, new sounds that inspire and excite.
